Vacuum Skin Packaging Machine

Heated skin film is drawn around the product under vacuum and sealed to a tray or board. This route differs from MAP, standard tray lidding and vacuum pouches. Validate appearance, seal, trimming, cold-chain and transport with the actual product, board or tray and skin film.

Are all trays suitable for skin packaging?

Not necessarily. The material, breathability, flatness, and heat seal layer of the tray or base board affect forming and sealing, and need to be tested together with the skin film.

Will sharp products puncture the skin film?

There is a risk. Sample testing is required based on sharp corners, product height, film stretch, and forming conditions; adjust product placement or packaging structure if necessary.
