Solution Overview
Daily chemical liquids such as laundry detergent and fabric softener are typically packaged in plastic bottles. The process route is: filling → screw capping → induction aluminum foil sealing (optional) → labeling → coding → conveying → case packing. This solution recommends suitable filling machines, capping machines, induction sealers, and labeling machines based on your container, product, and capacity requirements, and explains the key selection points for each equipment.
Why Choose These Core Machines
The filling machine is the starting point of the line. Based on the fluidity of laundry detergent (typically low-viscosity liquid), we recommend a liquid quantitative filling machine, which can be configured with multiple heads or servo piston type for high filling accuracy. The automatic capping machine is used to tighten threaded caps or pumps to ensure sealing. If the product requires leak prevention and tamper evidence, we recommend adding an inline induction foil sealer, which uses electromagnetic induction to fuse the aluminum foil liner onto the bottle mouth. The labeling machine is used for round or square bottles and can be used inline or standalone.
Equipment Combinations Suitable for This Packaging Route
For laundry detergent, first check foam, corrosiveness, bottle shape, and cap type. Our liquid dosing fillers, automatic cappers, in-line induction foil sealers, labeling and coding units, conveyors, and checkweighers can support a bottle line. Meal box sealers, tray film sealers, and MAP equipment should not be used in this household-chemical bottle route.
Filling Equipment Selection Key Points
For laundry detergent filling, we recommend a liquid quantitative filling machine. Choose single-head or multi-head based on capacity. If the product viscosity is low, atmospheric filling can be used; if it contains some foam, a submerged filling nozzle can be selected. You need to provide sample bottles and product for filling tests to determine nozzle diameter and filling speed. For small batch prototyping, a benchtop semi-automatic filler is sufficient; for continuous production, a fully automatic multi-head filler is recommended, with capacity up to 900-1800 bottles/hour.
Capping and Sealing Equipment Selection Key Points
The capping machine needs to be configured with capping heads or chucks according to the cap type (threaded cap, pump, flip-top). If the cap has an inner plug or liner, confirm the capping torque. The induction foil sealer is a non-contact sealing method suitable for HDPE, PET, and glass bottles. After sealing, the aluminum foil inside the cap fuses with the bottle mouth, forming a leak-proof seal. Note: The aluminum foil liner must be pre-placed inside the cap, and the seal cannot be opened after sealing. If your product does not require tamper evidence, this equipment can be omitted.
Labeling and Coding Equipment Selection Key Points
The labeling machine is suitable for round or square bottles and can apply self-adhesive labels or shrink sleeves. You need to provide label samples and bottles to confirm label size and application position. The inkjet printer is used for printing production dates, batch numbers, or QR codes, and can be used inline or standalone. If downstream case packing is needed, a carton sealing and outer case labeling line can be configured.
Conveying and Inspection Equipment Selection Key Points
A food-grade conveyor line is used to connect all equipment for automatic conveying. If strict filling weight requirements exist, an inline checkweigher can be configured for weight inspection and rejection of non-conforming products. For high-speed lines, an online checkweigher and vision inspection system can be considered to simultaneously inspect weight and label appearance.
Unsuitable Equipment Types and How to Avoid Mismatches
This solution is for bottled liquids and is not applicable to meal boxes, trays, cups, or pouches. Do not choose tray-sealing machines, lunch-box sealers, or turntable box sealers, as they are for box or tray heat sealing, which is different from bottle capping and sealing processes. Similarly, paste fillers and sauce piston fillers, while capable of filling liquids, are more suitable for high-viscosity materials. For low-viscosity liquids like laundry detergent, liquid quantitative fillers are more economical and efficient.
Consumables and Accessories Confirmation
The formal solution requires you to provide cap samples, aluminum foil liner samples, label roll samples, as well as bottle and product samples. We will test sealing effect, label placement, and coding clarity based on the samples. Consumables include caps, aluminum foil liners, labels, inkjet ink, thermal transfer ribbon, etc. Bulk purchasing is recommended to reduce costs. Leakproof bottle cap liner sets are available in various specifications to ensure sealing.
Route comparison
- Suitable for laundry detergent bottle filling capping sealing line when still confirming capacity, bottle type, cap, gasket, viscosity or sample testing.
- Easy to first confirm filling accuracy, drip prevention, capping feel and sealing effect, with lower investment.
- Manual bottle loading/unloading and capping coordination is heavy, speed is limited, batch stability depends on operator rhythm.
- Not recommended for long-term use with only semi-automatic stand-alone machines if the target capacity is clear and continuous output is required.
- First use semi-automatic filling, capping or induction sealing equipment to verify key parameters, then decide whether to upgrade to a linked line.
- Suitable when bottle and cap types are confirmed and stable batch production is needed for laundry detergent bottle filling capping sealing line.
- Filling, capping, foil induction sealing, labeling and coding can be sequentially linked, resulting in more stable capacity.
- Requires advance confirmation of bottle stability, product viscosity, temperature, foam, cap structure and conveying space.
- Not recommended to directly order a fully automatic line if bottle type changes frequently or product condition is uncertain.
- Configure bottle feeding, filling, capping, induction sealing, labeling coding and inspection equipment according to the process; main equipment must match bottle type and target speed.
- Suitable for laundry detergent bottle filling capping sealing line with particles, easy foaming, high viscosity, hot fill, corrosive or high hygiene requirements.
- Customization can be made for pump type, hopper, valve body, insulation, cleaning and anti-drip, reducing later rework.
- Higher cost and documentation requirements; sample testing or clear physical property parameters needed.
- Not recommended to start with excessive customization if it is only ordinary low-viscosity liquid and capacity requirement is not high.
- Select piston pump, rotor pump, insulated hopper, anti-drip filling nozzle, induction sealing and post-stage inspection combination based on material condition.

Sample photos, dimensions, film or caps, target output, line integrationCommon selection mistakes
Laundry detergent is a bottled liquid. Do not choose tray-sealing machines or lunch-box sealers, which are for tray or meal box heat sealing and cannot cap bottles.
If the product requires leak prevention and tamper evidence, an induction foil sealer must be used, and the cap must contain a pre-placed aluminum foil liner. Ordinary screw capping cannot achieve the same sealing effect.
Low-viscosity liquids should use liquid quantitative fillers, not paste or sauce piston fillers. The latter are more suitable for high-viscosity materials and may cause inaccurate filling or dripping for laundry detergent.
The capping head of the capping machine must be customized according to the cap shape and size. Different caps (threaded, pump, flip-top) require different chucks and are not interchangeable.
If the target capacity is low (e.g., 300 bottles/hour), choosing a fully automatic multi-head filler would be wasteful. It is recommended to start with a semi-automatic single-head filler and upgrade later.
Common questions
A liquid quantitative filling machine is recommended. Choose atmospheric or submerged filling nozzle based on viscosity. If the product contains some foam, submerged filling can reduce bubbles.
Not mandatory, but recommended if you need leak prevention, tamper evidence, or extended shelf life. Ordinary screw capping can also seal, but foil sealing provides additional assurance.
Yes, but the capping head fixture needs to be changed and the capping torque adjusted. Pump caps are usually taller than ordinary threaded caps, so the bottle height must be confirmed.
Yes, round and square bottle labeling machines support square bottle labeling, but a bottle sample is needed to confirm that the labeling surface is flat.
Depending on the number of machines and line configuration, typically 20-50 square meters. It is recommended to provide a workshop layout drawing so we can optimize equipment arrangement.
It is recommended to start with a benchtop semi-automatic filler, benchtop capper, and benchtop induction sealer, with a capacity of about 300-600 bottles/hour. These can be upgraded to a fully automatic line later.
